  • What is an unforgettable swim?

    An unforgettable swim is a single swimming experience that you can't forget. It's a swim that's changed you in some way, one to which you have an emotional attachment or spiritual tie.

    It's the one swim you always think about when you put your head under water.

    Take a look at the swimming stories already on the site for inspiration and then share your own.

  • How do I write my story?

    There is no right or wrong way to tell the world about your unforgettable swim. But here are a few tips to help get you started.

    • Write your story in the first person, from your perspective.

    • Say where it happened and, if it's relevant, how you got there.

    • Describe the scene, the way it looked, smelt, the sounds you heard.

    • Was the water warm or cold?

    • Did someone share the experience with you?

    • But most importantly, tell us how your unforgettable swim made you feel and why it is so special to you.

  • What kind of video can I upload?

    We accept videos that have already been uploaded YouTube. Just paste in your YouTube url and we'll do the rest. Unfortunately, we can't accept videos that aren't already hosted in YouTube.

  • What kind of images can I upload?

    We can accept images jpegs up to a maximum size of 10MB. Their minimum dimensions must be 500x300 pixels.

  • I can't upload my image. What can I do?

    First of all, please check your image format, dimensions and size - it needs to be a jpeg, have a maximum size of 10MB and have minimum dimensions of 500x300 pixels. If that doesn't work, please get in touch and we can help.

  • I'm unhappy with one of the images on the site. How do I let you know?

    All of the images and videos are checked by our moderators before they go live on the site. If you're unhappy with one of the pieces of content or would like to make a comment, please get in touch and we'll respond as soon as we can.

  • Why hasn't my video shown on the site yet?

    Either we haven't yet had a chance to review your content, or your content has been rejected by our moderators. This could be for a number of reasons:

  • My upload is taking forever.

    We accept full resolution images up to 10MB, but you may want to resize your image in a photo editing program to reduce the time it takes to upload. If you still have problems, please get in touch and we can help.

  • How is this site moderated?

    We have a team of people who check all the stories, images and video content that is submitted before it goes live on the site. If you're unhappy with anything you see, please let us know. Facebook comments are moderated by our team too so please report any comments that you feel need attention where you see them on the page. They will be taken down until we get a chance to take a look at them.

  • Is there a limit to the amount of content I can upload?

    No.

  • Can I enter the competition if I don't live in Italy, Germany or France?

    At the moment, only people who live in Italy, Germany or France can enter the competition. However, you can submit your story, videos or images no matter where you live.

  • What are the legal implications once I've uploaded my content?

    You can send any ideas, suggestions, graphics, pictures, or sound and video files, but in doing so, you give us permission to use, copy, change and publish your content. Once you've submitted your story, videos or images we also have copyright and publishing rights to this content - which means we're allowed to use and distribute this work worldwide and develop it for other media.

    Sharing your story with us means that:

    • You have the right to send this content to Speedo

    • The content is not offensive in any way

    • The content does not break any laws or third party rights

    If your content does not comply with any of the above categories, you'll be responsible for all legal fees, damages and other expenses. We believe in honesty, so when we receive your content we trust that nothing has been plagiarised or violates any third party rights.

    If we do use your content for advertising or promotional purposes, we'll do so respectfully and professionally, but unfortunately cannot offer any payment.
